Today was a weird one.
Anthropic officially launched Project Glasswing this morning with twelve industry partners, $100 million in model credits, and a real deployment timeline. Apple, Google, and Microsoft at the same table. Not a working group. An actual funded coalition.
At the same time, Stanford HAI published its 2026 AI Index showing AI agents now solve real-world cybersecurity problems 93% of the time. Up from 15% in 2024. In one year.
Also today: an analysis of 216 million security findings found critical risk has surged nearly 400%. The reason is AI-generated code shipping faster than anyone can review it. They call it the “velocity gap.” That’s an accurate name.
And a separate survey of 500 enterprise CISOs found 67% have limited visibility into where AI is even running in their own environments.
None of these four studies were coordinated. They just all landed on the same morning and pointed at the same wall.
The velocity gap is real. The visibility gap is real. And most organizations are already behind.
